Nationally lauded UChicagoGRAD programming and services help graduate students build skills for and find positions in a variety of professions, including academia. Situated in University of Chicago’s Provost’s Office, UChicagoGRAD runs over 100 programs a year specifically for graduate students, including annual programs like the Academic Job Market Summer Boot Camp, the GRADUCon career conference, and the GRADFair employer event. It also schedules individual workshops about specific industries, career exploration, and skills development. Check the GRAD Guide Weekly for program dates throughout the year. UChicagoGRAD’s career development staff also work one-on-one with individual graduate students on writing CVs and job letters, oral presentation skills, and defining their career aims.
