William Tait

Professor Emeritus of Philosophy, University of Chicago. Received a BA at Lehigh University in 1952 and a PhD at Yale University (Philosophy) in 1958. He has taught at Stanford (1958-64), University of Illinois-Chicago (1965-71), Aarhus University (1971-72), University of Chicago (1972-96). His main areas of research are logic and the philosophy of mathematics and its history.
